SIOBHAN GILLIGAN

Siobhan qualified with an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin in 2011. She has gained extensive experience working in the private practice setting both in Ireland and New Zealand. She has specialised in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy and is passionate about working with patients to rehabilitate back to full function following injury. Siobhan has a strong sporting background having played gaelic football at various levels and has a keen interest in treating sports injuries. She has worked with a variety of sports teams throughout her career has a strong focus on rehabilitation to aid in injury recovery and injury prevention.

Siobhan has continued her professional development through post-graduate study. She has completed various physio-specific courses including Dry Needling, APPI and DMA Clinical pilates and post-graduate courses in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in New Zealand. She has gained her credential status in the McKenzie MDT Treatment Method and specialises in assessment and treatment of spinal conditions. Siobhan is a qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor and enjoys teaching both reformer and mat Pilates classes. Siobhan has a special interest in treating back pain and running injuries. She adopts a multifactorial approach to treatment through identifying the root cause of the injury and then utilising a combination of manual therapy, biomechanical assessment and functional rehabilitation to achieve optimum results for her patients.
