POSTURE ASSESSMENT AND CORRECTION

Many musculoskeletal problems are caused by poor posture. Spending long periods in poor postures can exacerbate pain and predispose people to injuries especially spinal and shoulder pain. Everyday activities such as sitting at a desk, carrying young children, using smartphones and even some sporting activities can increase your risk of developing postural issues.

Good posture allows the client to align the joints, particularly in the spine and shoulders for optimal movement and therefore prevents injury.

Put simply…        Good posture = Positions of no strain
Poor posture  = Positions of strain ( & ultimately tissue failure & injury)
