ABOUT CLINICAL PILATES
Pilates is a total-body conditioning program that uses smooth, flowing and controlled movements to increase muscle strength, core stability, balance and flexibility from the inside out. Clinical Pilates has evolved from traditional Pilates, with the input of physiotherapists and evidence-based research into a rehabilitation tool for injury management, injury prevention and performance enhancement. At Baily Point Physiotherapy our classes focus on both rehabilitation and performance, ensuring you move safely and correctly in an environment that progresses your program only as you are able to, with respect to your injury as well as your level of self-mastery.

CLASS TYPES
At Baily Point Physiotherapy we offer two types of Clinical Pilates classes:
SMALL GROUP MAT CLASSES
These physiotherapist-led Pilates classes take place in a spacious room, with room for up to twelve participants. These gentle flowing classes take place on the mat. Your Pilates instructor will guide you through a series of exercises and movements targeted at strengthening, mobilizing and conditioning the whole body. Suitable for all ages and ability levels. Beginner and advanced options available.
SEMI-PRIVATE EQUIPMENT CLASSES
Semi-private classes take place a private room within the clinic with no more than three participants in any one class. These physiotherapist-led classes make use of Pilates equipment, including the reformer bed and trapeze table, using resistance to help improve your body’s strength, balance, mobility and flexibility. Your Pilates-trained physiotherapist will tailor your programme depending on your personal goals, previous and/or current injuries, pain and ability level. One to one sessions can be organised on request.
BOOK A CLASS
”Top class service from Michael Gallagher - many times over the years has "fixed me" with sensible and practical solutions and advice, including one occasion where others had suggested more drastic actions which would have had serious implications for myself. Highly recommended!
Barry O'Donoghue
”Thanks so much to Darcy for the physio this week and last. I feel fantastic!. I’ve been able to sleep pain-free and dance with my babies again!. Very very happy with the service.
Ann Marie Gilmore
”Thanks to Michael and the team at Baily Point Physio. After visiting them in August with knee problems they sorted me out with orthotic insoles and an exercise routine. Since then (2months ago) I have climbed Kilimanjaro twice with no knee problems – a great result. Highly recommend them.
